Our one-in-a-million mare, EV Rondha Bey, passed away Jan.23rd, 2008, due to acute pancreatitis.
Everyone who knew Rondha loved her personality and impeccable manners. She helped many people learn to ride and work around a horse, and was a credit to the Arabian breed. Gentle and willing, she loved to show off her tricks...nod yes/no, shake foot hello, count, bow, pick up a rope, give a hug, and yawn when asked if she was tired. Rondha would lunge by voice, and many of her ground manners were also by voice command. She was also a wonderful school horse; adjusting on the rail as needed for a beginner, but waiting for the intermediate to ask properly.
I am honoured to have cared for her for 15 years. It warmed my heart just to see her face, and that alone was worth a quick visit to the barn. Rondha will be missed dearly, but never forgotten.
Thank you to everyone for their condolences, and to those who shared in her life.
